On Saturday, the varsity cross country team competed at the District IX Championship meet, held at Ridgway.

In the girls' race, Olivia Cook was the top OV runner.  She finished in 15^th place out of 84 runners in a time of 22:18.  Olivia was the 8^th individual qualifier and will be running at the state meet this weekend in Hershey.

Kaylynn George ran a personal best on the Ridgway course in 23:05 and placed 22^nd in the district out of 84 runners. Mia Shaffer and Faith Herzog, both coming off of injuries, were able to race for OV and close out their season.

In the boys' race, Andrew Coriaty placed 5^th overall out of 110 runners.  His time of 17:44 earned him his 2nd trip to the state championships in Hershey this weekend.  He was the 3^rd individual qualifier.  Travis Coriaty, also ran for OV, placing 24^th  and running in 18:33. Brady Abdo was 37^th in 18:55, and Elliott Colton was 67^th in 20:26.
